Candlefall

Privacy Policy

Effective 14 August 2026

Candlefall is a single-player puzzle game built to collect as little as possible. In plain terms: there are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The game does not have a server, and it does not send your gameplay anywhere. This page explains the details.

What is stored, and where

Everything the game remembers — your descent progress, unlocked floors, solved keystones, settings, and any name you choose to inscribe in the Register — is stored only on your own device (in the app's local storage). It never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device advertising identifier, or any other personal information.

Purchases

Candlefall offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase (“Candlefall Pro”). Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or receive your payment details.

To validate and restore that purchase across your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier together with the App Store purchase receipt. This identifier is not linked to your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

What we do not do

Children

Candlefall is suitable for players of all ages. Because the game collects no personal information at all, it does not knowingly collect data from children.

Your data and deletion

Because all game data lives on your device, you are always in control of it. You can reset your progress from within the app's Settings, and deleting the app removes all locally stored game data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Candlefall is an independently developed game. This policy reflects how the app actually behaves: it is offline-first and privacy-respecting by design.
